As this product is made from natural,untreated wood,they should be kept dry and away from excessive moisture.Wipe clean with a soft,dry or slightly damp cloth.Do not soak in water or place in a dishwasher.Avoid prolonged exposure to heat,direct sunlight or liquids to help preserve the wood's natural appearance and prevent warping or staining.

Optional sealing with oil or wax is recommended for added protection.The best natural options are:

Mineral oil(Food Safe)-easy,subtle protection
Beeswax + oil blend-slightly more water resistance
Pure Tung oil(fully cured)-strongest natural option.
These keep the natural look but make them much more usable as real coasters.

If when ordering you would like them treated I can do that for you.I personally use Tung Oil for treating all my wooden item that require to be food safe.Because of the process using Tung Oil they will take a little while longer to be despatched as they need 3 coats with 24hrs between each coat.There will also be an additional charge for this which will be £6.00.
