June has arrived, and Emma is heading to the Cornwall Show with her pony club friends and family.
For Emma, the show is full of wonder — animals of every kind, busy showground paths, exciting displays, and moments of quiet pride and care. Over the course of a special weekend, she watches horses leap and dance, sees heavy horses pull the earth with calm strength, explores craft tents and cake stalls, and learns that big days don’t have to feel rushed or overwhelming.
As the excitement slowly softens, Emma discovers that belonging isn’t just about where you go — it’s about the people who hold things steady, the routines that welcome you back, and the comfort of coming home at the end of a full day.
Emma at the Cornwall Show is a reassuring, gently paced children’s story that celebrates:
Pony club life and rural traditions
Family, grandparents, and everyday support
Different kinds of strength, courage, and care
The balance between adventure and rest
Written to be read aloud or independently, this story offers children emotional safety as well as excitement. It reflects real family rhythms, honours quieter moments alongside busier ones, and allows space for reflection without instruction or pressure.
At the back of the book, Little Lessons from June provide optional, bite-size reflections that invite gentle conversation — or simply quiet thought — making this a book children can return to again and again.
Perfect for readers aged 6–9, pony lovers, and anyone who enjoys calm, classic storytelling rooted in kindness and belonging.
