Description
The Venus of Willendorf was unearthed in Austria in 1908. She was carved by an unknown artist some time between 24,000 and 22,000 years ago. Her original purpose and meaning may never be known, but millennia later her power to move us has not diminished. This is my tribute to what remains one of the greatest works of art of all time.
Venus is approximately 9 inches (23cm) tall and weighs approximately 500g.

The Twins sculpture
The inspiration for The Twins began with a tiny marble statue, dating from 5,800 BC. It shows two figures who share a single lower body and was discovered at Catal Huyuk in Anatolia. The Swimming Reindeer was discovered in 1866 by Peccadeau de l’Isle while overseeing the construction of a railway line at Montastruc in southwestern France. It was carved from the tip of a mammoth tusk around 13,000 years ago and was discovered in two pieces.
