Venus is the ruling planet of Taurus and Libra, and is exalted in Pisces. Associated with the Roman goddess Venus and Greek goddess Aphrodite. In Roman mythology, Venus is the goddess of love and beauty, famous for the passions she could stir among the gods. Venus means "love" or "sexual desire." Astrologically, Venus is associated with the principles of harmony, beauty, balance, feelings and affections, and the urge to sympathize and unite with others. Venus is involved with the desire for pleasure, sensuality, personal possessions, comfort, and ease. It governs romantic relations, marriage and business partnerships, sex (the origin of the words 'venery' and 'venereal'), the arts, fashion, and social life. In medicine, Venus is associated with the lumbar region, the veins, parathyroids, throat, and kidneys.
Venus is the modern ruler of the second and seventh houses, but traditionally ruled the fifth and twelve houses. Venus is the planet of Friday and ruler of the element gold. Venus holds many similar attributes as the Voodoo loa Erzulie Freda and the orisha Oshun.
I cannot rave enough about Venus oil. I began to experience increased happiness, peace and calmness. It smoothed out my entire energy field. This oil is very silky to the touch and made my skin feel very soft and smooth. Venus is definitely the planet of harmony and happiness.

Although not many people think of it often, the days of the week refer to the "seven sacred planets" (five visible planets plus the Sun and Moon) -- and these planets in turn were originally Gods and Goddesses of Old Europe. Candles: Bless the anointing oil to be used, appropriate to ritual. State and engrave (if you wish) what the candle is to represent. Anoint the candle with oil and focus on desire (purpose of ritual).For ritual of achievement: anoint oil from the top of the candle to the middle in a downward motion, then from the bottom of the candle to the middle in an upward motion. Anointing oils are for external use only. If you have sensitive skin, test the oil on a small patch of skin before using it. Always get the permission of people who you are working with before anointing them with oil.

In the Western occult tradition, each planet can be represented by a seal or diagram. The seal is based off of the planet's magic square, with the seal theoretically touching every number within the square, although in practice that is not always apparently the case.

The Seal of venus does not follow the convention of overlapping every number of the magic square of Saturn. Twelve squares are missed entirely: 3, 5, 7, 15, 19, 21, 33, 35, 36, 43, 44, and 47.
The Venus seal is structurally similar to the seal of Mars. In mythology, Mars and Venus are lovers and thus are a pairing. In an earth-centric cosmology (such as what occultists worked within when these seals were designed), Mars and Venus are the planets closest to the Sun, which holds a special position and role within the cosmology.

The specifics of why the seals of Mars and Venus are constructed as they are is much more elusive than for the other seals. Donald Tyson suggests that the upper symbol may be a "V" for Venus coupled with a equal-armed cross. That cross, along with the circle, crescent, are the three basic shapes used in the construction of the astrological symbols of the planets. This makes some sense because 7 is the number of Venus and is also associated with the planets because there are seven of them within this system. The cross, circle and crescent can also represent the Earth, Sun and Moon on their own.
